Capacity and safety
LIPUs modern open storage systems are designed for storing large steel, wood and composite plates. Including thick sheets and plates. Hydraulically operated modular storage system consists of a number of pivotable storage seats and frames. The system stores sheets and plates in vertical position, so it can be easily loaded and unloaded while the selected storage seat is in horizontal position. Each storage seat can be filled and emptied with a bridge crane or a forklift from four different directions: each side, front and above. Work safety also improves significantly by using only horizontal handling.

Vertical storage system like LIPU reduces the floor space requirement by 80 percent. In addition to the minimal space requirement you can also store plates in more close proximity to the processing station to reduce the time wasted with unnecessary transfers and impact damage. The use of separate storage seats allows the workers to find the correct plates needed immediately, so the plates can be accessed for processing without any delay — since the content of a storage seat can be scrolled in just 35 seconds. This means a significant improvement in production machine productivity and utilisation.
Manual or automated? You choose!
LIPU warehouse storage systems are controlled manually or by automation system. The modern storage systems control can be connected by a wireless contact or a cable. Each subsequently required plate are identified by an automatic control production program. It opens the correct storage seat, removes the plate and transfers it to the processing station with a crane. The storage racking system also prepares itself automatically to transfer the next plate during the process.
You can also choose if you want the automation system to be connected as part of the storages information system, that can monitor the warehouse situation in real-time. Also an automated LIPU storage system can use remote diagnostics, that speeds up the analysis of even the most exceptional malfunction situations.
